Latest episode of Arrow is...........intense

CAUTION: SPOILERS AHEAD
Full episode can be found here: Arrow: Seeing Red

I have been a huge fan of CW's Arrow since it first released. It's such a relief to get a dark, gritty, and at times frightening representation of the comic world on prime time. This latest episode really digs dip and goes for the gut punch. When Slade Wilson (better known as Deathstroke) has Olivers' mom and sister tied up I kept thinking to myself "Ok ok, whens the big save going to happen? There is no way one of them is going to die". Needless to say, my jaw dropped when he rammed his katana through Moira Queens heart like a Japanese Santoku. I was devastated. . . and loved every second of it. This show keeps getting better. If its any indication of how CW is planning to do comic adaptations, then I am really looking forward to their Flash spin-off. Did you see the latest episode? What did you think of it?

Anime Recommendation Wednesday

It's humpday, which means its Anime recommendation Wednesday. Today's recommendation is one of my personal favorites. I may even go as far as to include it in my top 5...........top 10 for sure.

Monster

Dr Kenzo Tenma is a genius surgeon working in post-Cold War Germany who has a bright future ahead of him. He is admired by his colleagues, loved by his patients, and due to marry his boss' daughter, the beautiful Eva Heinemann. One day, when two patients in desperate need of emergency surgery are wheeled into his hospital, Tenma faces a terrible choice of saving the orphaned boy who came first or the mayor of Düsseldorf, whose recovery would raise the hospital's profile and boost his own career. Against the demands of his superior, Tenma does what he believes is right and saves the child. However, his decision not only damages his prospects, but unleashes a chain of events so horrific that it might have come from the depths of his worst nightmares. Laden with guilt, Tenma begins a journey across Germany in search of a formidable young man who will challenge his morals, his love for life, and his very sanity.

Monster is a psychological thriller. There are no tentacles, no vampires, no demons, no super powers, and no women with over sized busts (ok, I might have enjoyed the last one). It's a dark and riveting series that will have you on the edge of your seat by the end of mostly every episode. If you haven't seen it and feel like indulging your dark side for a weekend, this is the show for you. So pop some popcorn, grab a mountain dew, and turn off the lights. . . I don't think you will be disappointed. But if you are, you can always come back and comment on how bad my taste is.

Dragon Age: Inquisition . . .cautiously optimistic.

I was a huge fan of Dragon Age Origins.......and like most people I was completely horrified with Dragon Age II. How developers could turn such an indepth and story driven game into a hack and slash where every level is a carbon copy of the previous level you were on is beyond my comprehension. That being said, BioWare seems to be aware of their mistakes and taking proper steps to rectify them with this latest addition to the Dragon Age universe. Available XBOX 360, PS3, PS4, XBOX One, and PC on October 7th. Pre-order the deluxe edition now and get some kick ass goodies and exclusives. Dragon Age: Inquisition Deluxe Edition

1/144 Ground Type Diorama

Few things tickle my heart more than a pimped out Gundam diorama. 08th MS Team fans in the house? Modeler did a fantastic job on the weathering, detail, and battle damage.

Lets be honest. . . Levi is much more bad ass than Eren

Seems I'm not the only one who thinks so. On April 9th, volume 1 of a spin off manga featuring Captain Levi was released. The manga digs into the back story and untold goodies of Levis history. As of writing this its ranked #4 on Oricons weekly comic ranking (http://www.oricon.co.jp/rank/obc/w/2014-04-21/). Even more impressing, the print run has hit 500,000. Kind of a big deal for a spin off.
